Can I take CNA classes while I'm in school?

I am currently enrolled in school to be a medical assistant, but I am interested in taking classes to be a caregiver/cna (so i can have a job while i'm in school) but i was told that I cant do the cna because I am enrolled in another school for something else. Is that true?
